Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 9, 2026

Weaving It Together Group Consulting LLC (dba WIT Group, “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating www.witgroupllc.com

We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing professional organizing, decluttering, and consulting services (in-person and virtual). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, secure, and disclose your information. By accessing our website, booking services, or providing information, you consent to these practices. This policy applies to clients, website visitors, and service recipients.

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal and Contact Information: Name, email, phone number, mailing address, and billing/payment details (collected via forms, bookings, or during consultations).
  • Service-Related Data: Details about your home, business, or space (e.g., layouts, preferences, notes from sessions), plus any photos, videos, or text you share or we create during services (only with your explicit permission).
  • Communications Data: Records of emails, calls, or text messages exchanged with us.
  • Website and Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, and analytics data (e.g., via Google Analytics) collected automatically when you visit www.witgroupllc.com.
  • Other: Feedback, testimonials, or survey responses.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and deliver our organizing, decluttering, space planning, digital organizing, estate clearing, transitions, and consulting services.
  • Communicate with you about appointments, reminders, updates, invoices, or service-related matters.
  • Process payments and maintain business records.
  • Improve our services, personalize experiences, and conduct internal analytics.
  • Send marketing or promotional materials only with your separate consent.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Text Messages (SMS) and Communications

We use text messaging through our provider (Nextiva, phone 855-975-6273) for service-related communications such as appointment reminders, updates, invoices, confirmations, and follow-ups. Consent: By providing your phone number and consenting (via website checkbox, booking form, verbal agreement during consultation, or other affirmative action), you agree to receive SMS from us. Consent is not required to purchase services. Standard message and data rates may apply. Opt-Out: Reply “STOP” to any message or contact us in writing/email to opt out at any time. We will honor your request promptly (typically within 10 business days). We do not use automated dialing for marketing without additional consent. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Client data is stored in secure, encrypted cloud-based platforms (with multi-factor authentication and access limited to authorized personnel) or secure physical files. We retain information only as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill legal obligations (e.g., tax or business records, typically up to 7 years), resolve disputes, or as you request deletion (subject to exceptions below). Physical notes or documents from sessions are kept in locked, access-controlled locations and securely destroyed when no longer needed.

5. Security (Physical and Digital)

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • Digital Security: Industry-standard encryption (e.g., SSL/TLS for transmissions), firewalls, secure servers, regular security scans, password protection, and multi-factor authentication. Access is restricted to employees/contractors who need it and are bound by confidentiality.
  • Physical Security: During in-home or on-site services, we respect your boundaries, do not photograph or record without permission, and secure any temporary notes or materials. We exercise reasonable care with your belongings but are not insurers. No internet or data transmission is 100% secure. We are not liable for breaches beyond our reasonable control (e.g., hacking despite safeguards). We will notify you of any reportable data breach as required by law.

6. Confidentiality

All client information obtained during services—including observations, discussions, home/business layouts, personal items, notes, or any other details—is kept strictly confidential. We adhere to professional standards (including NAPO Code of Ethics principles for organizers) and will not disclose, discuss, or use your information for any purpose other than providing services to you, except:

  • With your explicit written permission;
  • As required by law (e.g., court order or subpoena); or
  • To trusted service providers bound by confidentiality agreements (see “Sharing” below).

This obligation survives the end of our engagement.

7. Ability to Share on Social Media (Text, Photos, Videos, Testimonials)

With your explicit permission (obtained via a separate written consent form, email confirmation, or signed release), we may use and share your provided or approved text, testimonials, photos, videos, or before/after images on our website, social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), blog, brochures, or other marketing materials. You may specify whether to use your name/identifiers or keep content anonymized. Permission is voluntary and revocable at any time by written notice (email or mail). Upon revocation, we will remove the content from public view as soon as reasonably practicable (typically within 10 business days). We do not share without this permission.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share it only:

  • With service providers (e.g., Nextiva for SMS, payment processors, cloud storage like Google Workspace or equivalent, CRM systems, accountants, or website hosts) who are contractually required to maintain confidentiality and use data only for the services they provide to us.
  • To comply with law, protect our rights/property/safety, or in emergencies.
  • With your explicit consent (e.g., for social media sharing above).

Non-personal, aggregated data may be used for analytics.

9. Cookies, Tracking, and Website Practices

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and personalization. You can manage cookies via browser settings (though this may limit functionality). We use third-party services like Google Analytics (opt-out available via their tools). See our site for any cookie consent banner.

10. Your Rights

You may:

  • Access, correct, or update your information.
  • Request deletion (subject to legal, contractual, or legitimate business needs, e.g., active services or tax records).
  • Opt out of marketing/SMS (as described).
  • Revoke social media sharing consent. Submit requests in writing to the contact below. We respond within 30 days (or as required by law). We also comply with applicable laws such as CalOPPA (California Online Privacy Protection Act) for transparency.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may also notify you by email.
